Ant Additions: model texture finalization

added hair follicles, the tibial spurs (which i skipped in the initial build-up, then got wise) and last but not least a stinger.

shes definitely turning into a badass giant fire ant of sorts. the hair looks like carpenter ant hair. that was my point of reference.

here's what i've been up to lately while i've got down time between freelancing.
I decided to have fun and do an ant. likin it alot so far. im planning to add a couple things. hairs and perhaps a microchip just for shiggles. im pretty sure those things will push the sense of scale alot more.

a few weeks back or so i took some time to whip up a character for a friend who was doing a project for the Oculus Rift. i was asked to make a fairy. was pretty fun! seeing how im not used to making anything that isnt musclebound or armor clad. have a look!
